Tips, discounts, and comps
Add a tip, take money off, or comp a visit entirely at checkout.
All three live in the checkout flow.
Tips
At checkout, choose a quick percentage (15/20/25%) or enter a custom amount. The tip is charged together with the service in one payment, and your records keep the tip amount broken out — so your revenue reporting shows service revenue and tips separately.
Discounts
Add a discount at checkout to take a fixed amount off — for a first-visit offer, a loyalty gesture, or a service hiccup. The discount appears as its own line, so the receipt and your records show the full price and what you took off, rather than silently rewriting your prices.
Comps
To comp the whole visit, discount the full amount. Checkout completes as normal with nothing charged, and the visit still shows in the client's history and your records as a comped appointment rather than vanishing.
What about discount codes?
Codes clients enter themselves when booking are a separate feature, managed on the dashboard under Discount Codes. Checkout discounts are for the moment — no code needed, you decide on the spot.
A note on your records
Discounts never turn a total negative — the floor is $0. And because every adjustment is a line item, you can always reconstruct what happened on any past visit.
