Repeating appointments
Book a client's regular visits in one go, every 1 to 8 weeks, for up to a year.
For a client who comes in on a schedule, say a fill every three weeks, you can book their next visits all at once instead of one at a time. Only you can do this: clients don't see repeating appointments on your booking page.
Set it up
- Book the first visit as usual.
- Open it (in the app, tap the appointment; in the dashboard, click it on your calendar) and choose Repeat.
- Choose how often: every week, or every 2 to 8 weeks.
- Choose when it ends: after a number of visits (the first one counts), or on a date. A repeat can run for up to 12 months from the first visit.
- Tap Show the dates.
Check every date before you book
You'll see each visit with its date and time, and anything in the way: another appointment, blocked time, or a day or time you're closed. For each date you can:
- Skip it, so no visit is booked that day.
- Move it to another date or time. The new time is checked again straight away.
- Book it anyway, if you're happy to work around what's in the way.
When every date is sorted, book them. Each visit is a normal appointment: it has its own reminders, its own checkout and its own notes, and you can change it like any other.
Repeat visits are booked without a deposit request.
Change or cancel a visit
When you change the time or service of a visit that repeats, or cancel it, you'll be asked:
- This one only changes just that visit.
- This and all future changes that visit and every later one. A new time moves each later visit by the same amount.
Visits that have already happened, been cancelled or been checked out are never changed.
Your client hears about it once. With This and all future, they get one email and one text listing every visit that moved or was cancelled, instead of a message for each. With This one only, they get the usual message for that visit. Messages follow your notification settings, and texts only go to clients who agreed to them.
Good to know
- One-on-one sessions can't repeat.
- If you have a team, the person on the first visit is on every repeat visit, and their own hours and time off are checked for each date.
- If the client has extra time set, each repeat visit includes it, and the dates are checked with it.
- Each visit's price is worked out when it's booked, from the service and add-ons on the first visit. A discount on the first visit isn't copied.
