Cancel an appointment or mark a no-show
Cancel with a reason, or record a no-show once the start time has passed.
Cancel an appointment
- Open the appointment from the Today tab.
- Tap Cancel Appointment.
- Enter a reason — it's saved with the appointment so you have a record of why.
Canceled appointments free up the time slot immediately, so other clients can book it.
You can also cancel from the dashboard Calendar.
Can clients cancel themselves?
That's up to you. In Settings → Booking Rules on the dashboard you can allow or disallow cancellation through the client portal, and set how much notice is required (for example, no cancellations within 24 hours of the appointment). Inside that window, clients have to contact you directly — which puts rescheduling conversations in your hands instead of losing the slot silently.
Mark a no-show
When a client doesn't turn up:
- Open the appointment.
- Tap No-show — the option appears once the appointment's start time has passed.
The appointment is recorded as a no-show in the client's history, so you can spot repeat offenders on their profile before taking their next booking.
Protecting yourself from no-shows
- Deposits are the strongest tool — the client has already paid something, and you keep it if they don't show. See Deposits.
- Require card on file at booking (Settings → Booking Rules) so every booking has a real card behind it.
- Appointment reminder texts and emails reduce honest forgetfulness — see your notification settings on the dashboard.
