Connect payments (Stripe)

Connect your bank through Stripe to accept card payments, deposits, and saved cards.

Mila processes card payments through Stripe, the same payment platform used by millions of businesses. Connecting Stripe is what lets you:

  • Accept card payments at checkout (in person or with a saved card on file)
  • Collect deposits when clients book
  • Let clients save a card to their profile
  • Sell gift cards and courses online

Until Stripe is connected, clients can still book with you — but nothing can be paid online, and card payments at checkout won't work.

How to connect

  1. Open the dashboard and go to Settings → Payment Methods (the dashboard home page will also prompt you if you're not connected yet).
  2. Click the connect button and follow Stripe's steps. Stripe asks for your business details, your identity, and the bank account where you want payouts deposited.
  3. When Stripe finishes verifying, your status in Settings shows you're ready to accept payments.

Stripe sometimes needs extra verification (for example, a document to confirm identity). If your status shows something is incomplete, reopen the connect flow from Settings and finish the remaining steps.

Where your money goes

Payments go directly to your own Stripe account and are paid out to your bank on Stripe's normal payout schedule. Mila never holds your money. You can see every charge in Transactions on the dashboard and your revenue on the Business tab in the app — see Getting paid.

Cash and other methods

You don't need Stripe to record cash, Zelle, PayPal, or Venmo payments at checkout — those are always available and are recorded for your reports.
